To say I was beyond excited to receive an acceptance letter from the Center For Humans and Nature for my submission of Our Shared Language is Silence - an essay and images dedicated to my deep connection with petric deep-time travelers, is an understatement.
I am excited to share that I have been selected as part of the 2025 cohort of poet/artists for the Writing The Land Project in collaboration with the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance. I will be visiting and collaborating with the David Hunt Preserve to craft 2-3 poems with and about the land
I am beyond humbled and excited to have been selected as part of the amazing cohort of women for FEMeeting 2024: Women in Art, Science and Technology conference in Windsor, Ontario from June 23-29th. Elegy For A Glacier was selected for the exhibition being held at the event at the IOTA Gallery, in addition to being selected as part of the closed session presentation for conference attendees.

Temperatures here the past few weeks have been dancing between 40-50°F, and the formations documented in this visual poem, were all gone within days as the water returned to it's liquid form. The last time I recall the lake freezing over completely for more than a few weeks was about 7 years ago.
I am excited to share that my Elegy For A Glacier video was kindly recognized and shared by Dr.Þorvarður Árnason and Rannsóknasetrið á Hornafirði (Research center of the University of Iceland in Hornafjörður). I have been fortunate to have connected with Dr. Árnason last year after taking my first trip to Iceland in September of 2022. Since that trip, my interest in the geology and glaciers of Iceland has become the forefront of my artistic interest and inspiration. Two pieces from my AntiGlacier series were selected to be exhibited in the show As Above So Below at FOMA in Santa Fe, NM. The show spanned from November 1-18, 2023. "The exhibition takes the phrase As Above, So Below, as its point of departure, a paraphrase of the second verse of the Emerald Tablet. Unfortunately, i did not have the opportunity to visit the Vermont Center for Photography during the duration of the juried exhibit The Art of Handmade, in which my work Deep Time a handmade Chromoskedasic sabattier photograph was part of.
