UPCOMING: Writing The Land
I am excited to share that I have been selected as part of the 2025 cohort of poet/artists for the Writing The Land Project in collaboration with the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance. I will be visiting and collaborating with the David Hunt Preserve to craft 2-3 poems with and about the land, which is a very special place for me as Dr. David Hunt was an amazing botanist, activist and played an important role in identifying rare species on a tract of forest land that I have also been working to preserve and protect in Troy, NY. Sadly, Dr. Hunt passed away last year, so being able to honor his work on land that he worked to protect is such an honor. Additionally, as part of the Writing The Land project, I will be taking part in a collaborative residency program at Art, Letters and Numbers in Averill Park, NY. I am looking forward this summer and fall to working in collaboration with more-than-human kin at the preserve in both written and visual form, and look forward to sharing more about these field trips and making session as they unfurl throughout the season.
